SPECIAL DESIGN PROJECT - 3
The specially designed facade project, which is linear in form and rich in materials, honors the surrounding street view, while at the same time, it appears as an original and distinctive structure. The layering of textures creates a subtle sense of visual depth on the line between classic and contemporary, natural and man-made. The angular walls and interior spaces add to the sculptural feel of the house, transforming the traditional house form into a contemporary and, more importantly, light-filled space.
The clear mass with defined edges is marked by slits and openings framing natural landscapes as well as creating a geometric composition for the façades. Strong articulation allows wide openings within the built form, encouraging the occupants to interact with the outside environment. The landscaping is cleverly integrated into the architectural design, softening the building while complementing the surrounding greenery. Landscape walls of different heights and textures, and parallel extensions of the concrete wall define the finishes as primitive and natural, and at the same time ensure privacy.
The villa is a large two-story, multi-generational house with open parking and a distinctive silhouette. Life in Villa extends beyond four walls. It houses several communal facilities, including specialized areas such as the gym, spa, private dining area, office, open-air cinema, pool, and barbecue area. It has an inner courtyard that is accessed from the formal living room at the entrance and the communal areas on the other side. An ideal balance of external integration has been created by providing privacy on the upper floors. Instead of a single, long, and continuous floor plan, this house with large windows that form a seamless connection with the botanical exterior surrounds its inhabitants in a continuous flow with bold elements of concrete, wood, glass, natural stone, and steel. The courtyards of the home are critical to the design in more ways than one. For them to fulfill their functions, the outer courtyards feel like an inner living space, thanks to the uninterrupted transition of the floors. A self-contained residence has been set up with access from anywhere and with a swimming pool located in the backyard, an open-air theatre, a barbecue, and a dining area. Its underutilized green space has been activated for the benefit of the wider community, and this idea flows from the picturesque, natural environment of the residence to the visual connection. By preserving the existing house and surrounding it with a series of monolithic spaces, the residents of the house enjoy protection from an adjacent street while remaining closely connected to the natural parklands.
As a result, the Villa has been designed to create a livable space for its users and to create a harmonious environment for all those affected by this environment.
